Prof. Geoffrey Petts is Vice-chancellor of the University of Westminster, UK, Vice-president of International Society for River Science, the only Lifetime Achievement Award Winner in the field of river science in the world, the founder and editor-in-chief for the international journal "River Research and Applications".
Prof. Geoffrey Petts has published over 150 professional papers and some 22 authored and edited books. His research mainly includes the geographic setting of rivers, contrasting influences of flow regulation with free-flowing conditions, environmental flow assessment and allocation, reservoirs’ impacts on downstream rivers, and water resources developments in ways that also conserve water-dependent ecosystems.
